Louisa 'Lily' Peacock GarzaAransas Pass, TXLouisa 'Lily' Peacock Garza, 88, joined our Lord and Savior on July 14, 2016. She passed away in Portland, Texas and was born in Mercedes, Texas on August 5, 1932, to Louis Hubert and Maurica Peacock. Louisa Lily Peacock Garza was proprietor and teacher of Mrs. Garza's Private Kinder and First School in Aransas Pass. She prided herself of giving her students a good educational foundation in which they all excelled. You could be sure that the Aransas Pass High School Valedictorian and the Salutatorian and the many other students that received high honors had Mrs. Garza's a great foundation of education. She did not do that work alone the parents were the greatest teachers and motivations for their children to succeed. She retired in 1997 after 30 years of teaching. She was married to husband, Emilio Saldana Garza for 66 years, was a loving mother to her four children and a wonderful sister to four brothers and three sisters.She enjoyed fishing, traveling, singing in the church choir, and cooking for her family.Lily is preceded in death by her parents; two- son-in-law's; one grandson, one daughter-in-law, and three of her siblings.She is survived by her loving husband, Emilio Saldana Garza; daughter, Linda Garza-Amaya-Huerta; sons, Emilio Garza (Dena), Arthur Garza, Richard Garza (Linda); numerous grandchildren, and great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the North Bay Fellowship Church, 3530 Main Street, Ingleside, Texas 78362. Bury to follow at the Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass, Texas.Online condolences may be left at www.charliemarshallfuneralhomes.com.
