Corpus Christi, TX
Martha was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on December 7, 1949, to Marjorie and Warren Bailey and passed into the loving arms of Jesus on May 28, 2017. Heaven has a brand new angel.
She is survived by her mother, husband Eddie, stepchildren, Keri Engle (Bryan) and Adam Greer, brothers, Warren (Sandra) and Kirk (Sandy) Bailey and numerous nieces and nephews.
She served as a devoted teacher for 25 years and retired to Horseshoe Bay in 2007. Her presence was a light to all and made life easier for everyone around her. She loved her family, friends, church, prayer ministry, Faith Bridge Sunday School class, golf and her faithful golden retriever Jake. She was instrumental in starting the prayer ministry at The Church at Horseshoe Bay and was a founding member of the Faith Bridge Class. She leaves us with the promise of a better home. We were all truly loved and blessed by knowing her.
Thanks to the many friends that offered prayers and support during this difficult time. Special thanks to the Scott & White nurses and staff and the Kindred Hospice nurses and staff.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or The Church at Horseshoe Bay Benevolence Committee in Martha's name.
There will be a service of praise and a celebration of life on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at The Church at Horseshoe Bay.

Our dear friend Eddie. We are so, so sorry for your loss of Martha. Martha is now with our Lord Jesus Christ rejoicing and free of sickness and pain. That is to be glorified in His name. Martha was one of the sweetest people we've had the privilege of knowing through the years. Please know you are and will remain in our prayers as the days ahead unfold. Martha and I were childhood friends. We spent many, many times together & I was at the Bailey's a lot! Margie was my 2nd Mom. So sorry for the family. Martha is an Angel now. RIP
