Martin Cardona Obituary

CARDONA Martin Cardona, 52. On the 28th of November, in the year of our Lord 2009. He asked a son to join his parents to help watch over the family just as our gentle giant always has. He worked in the Parts Department 16 years for Preco Machinery Sales and was Parts and Service manager for H & V Equipment Sales for 14 years. He loved Conjunto music, singing karaoke, and of course his muscle cars. His passion was bringing family together for his famous Bar-B-Que during holidays and special occasions. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren Neveah, Genesis, James, Lyric, Leah, and Ava. He is preceded in death by his father Eleno Cardona, Sr., mother Maria O. Cardona, brother Jose Cardona and nephew Robby Moses. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 30 years Christina 'Gracie' Cardona; his son, Martin Jason (Melynda) Cardona; daughter, Crystal Grace Cardona; his brothers, and sisters; Eleno (Frances) Cardona, Jr., Antonia (Toni) Estrada, Juan Cardona, Jesusa 'Susie' Moses, Gloria (Horario) Quiroga, Crisolfa (Julian) Barrera, Guadalupe 'Lupe' Cardona, Eva (Mike) Orem, Rudolfo 'Rudy' Cardona and several nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, December 4, 2009, at St. Peters Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.Pallbearers will be James Porter, Dan Casares, David Garza, Tony Garza, Eleno Cardona, Carlos Flores, Johnny Estrada, and Julian Barrera, Jr. He will be deeply missed.
