Michael began his career with the Bureau of the Mines and retired from Department of Energy after 32 years of service. Mickey will always be remembered for his love and kindness to all. Words cannot describe what a wonderful husband, uncle, and brother-in-law he was. He by no means failed you, he always came through. Mickey’s greatest joy and honor was being with his loving wife and dog, Prince. Mickey would never miss an opportunity to spend time with any members of his family and that part of him will be missed the most. He was like a father to both of his nephews, Justin Paul Green (20 years) and Mark Edmund Travis, II (14 years). Over the years he enjoyed golfing, hunting, traveling, and he was a member of the Bruceton Bowling League, was a lifetime member of the VFW, Disabled American Veterans and lifetime member of the NERA Naval Enlisted Reservist Association. Michael R. Schoffstall will continue to be in the hearts and minds of all who had the opportunity to know and love him. His fiery spirit and endearing quality to enjoy life’s precious moments taught each one of us the importance of family and friends.
