Miguel C. Mata, 68, was called home by our Heavenly Father on December 11, 2016. He was born on December 31, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Juan and Idolina Cavazos Mata. He was a Catholic and a longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Preciado-Mata, his children: Jennifer (Michael) Cantu, Connie (David) Rodriguez, and Monica (Jaime) Morales; his sisters, Aurora (Charles) Mazuca, Emma (Lazaro) Caceres, Frances (Eleno) Cardona, Alice (Ruben, Sr.) Leal, and Nancy (Derly) Flores; his brothers, Santiago "Jimmy" (Elva) Mata, Enrique "RicK" (Benita) Mata, Jesse (Sandra) Mata, and Joe Mata. He was also blessed with ten grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
