Paul Carroll Holter III

Paul Holter Obituary

Paul Carroll Holter III was born March 21, 1983, in Yokosuka, Japan. He passed away in Ramadi, Iraq on Friday, January 14, 2005.Paul was fighting for a freedom he strongly believed in. He went into the United Stated Marine Corps upon graduation from Flour Bluff High School in 2001.When he was young, Paul decided he wanted to be a Marine, and he did everything he could to make this dream come true. He worked hard and struggled through boot camp, but working through all these adversities made accomplishing these goals even more satisfying. He was so proud of the Marines Corps, proud of his country, proud of his fellow Marines, and proud of what the U.S. was doing in Iraq. He never once complained about being in Iraq. All he ever had to say was how happy it made him to see the good they were doing overseas and how happy the Iraqis were to see them.He was the best son, brother, grandson and friend one could hope for. Paulie never met a stranger and had the way of turning a frown to a smile. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Joe, Uncle Allen and Aunt Grace. He leaves behind his parents Paul C. Holter, Jr. and Christine (Tina) Holter, as well as his sister, Tanya Holter. He has a five old month niece, Isabella Holter, that he never got the chance to meet. He was planning on marrying his girlfriend, Salena Sanchez of San Francisco, California. His Grandparents, Paul and Mary Holter of New Braunsfels and Cecelia Kizewski of Wausau, Wisconsin, along with numerous aunts and uncles, and cousins.Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Seaside Funeral Home. Reception to follow at the Flour Bluff High Cafeteria at 2505 Waldron Road.

Hello,
We wanted to let your family and friends know that we are sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and some of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Paul C. Holter III US Marine Corporal.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.

We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
