Randy Charba Corpus Christi, TXRandy Charba, age 42, died May 24, 2015, in the historic Wimberley flood with his wife, Michelle, and son, Will. William was born on Easter Sunday, April 22, 1973. Randy's first love was the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were in his blood. He avidly pursued fishing in all forms, including catching red fish on the flats along the Laguna Madre. Randy's passion led him to specialize as a Salt Water Fly Fishing Guide. As a hunter Randy spent time at Poco Seco Ranch. Actively involved in the outdoors, Randy took care to preserve it as well; he was a conservationist, not keeping all his fishing catches and spending a great deal of time maintaining Poco Seco Ranch. At an early age, Randy enjoyed living life to the fullest. When he met Michelle he found his soul mate with the same zest for life. They married in 2007, and Will, the light and joy of their lives, arrived in 2009. Randy was dedicated to his family and friends, spending much time enjoying both.Randy's drive led him to be a member in many organizations, including becoming the youngest member of Ananias, a solely dedicated club to trout fishing. Randy's additional organizations were the Coastal Conservation Association of Texas, Saltwater Fisheries Enhancement Association, Texas State Rifle Association and the National Rifle Association. Randy is preceded in death by his father, Ted Charba and grandparents, Joe and Agnes Charba and Otto and Josephine Raska. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Charba (Leon Little), sisters, Kim Charba and Karen Charba Burkhart, niece, Morgan Burkhart, sister-in-law, Cristen Carey Daniel (Alan) and niece and nephew, Lauren and Trey Daniel. The family extends its unending gratitude to the hundreds of volunteers who generously gave up their time to join in the search for our loved ones. Also, we thank the Multitudes who prayed with and for us. Your prayers have provided comfort and will carry us through. We are also deeply grateful to the First Baptist Church of Wimberley and the Hill Country Resolution Center who ministered and served as Christ wants us all to do. The kindness and generosity of the Wimberley community and volunteers will never be forgotten. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, June 12, 2015, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. James Episcopal School in Memory of the Carey/Charba Family. To view tribute, please visit
