Rebecca Kieschnick Obituary

Rebecca Rivers Kieschnick

Sinton, TX

Rebecca Rivers Kieschnick, 72, of Sinton, Texas went home to her Lord and Savior after a seven year fight with Pulmonary Fibrosis on Wednesday, August, 22, 2018. A viewing will be held Monday, August 27, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, August 28, at First United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Rebecca was born February 1, 1946 in Austin, Texas to William Howard and Betty Timblin Rivers. She grew up in Elgin and graduated from the University of Arkansas and later earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas in Austin. She practiced Law at Donnell, Abernethy & Kieschnick Law Firm for the past 37 years, and was an active member of Texas Association of Defense Counsel and American Board of Trial Advocates. Rebecca mentored many during her career who learned integrity, honesty, and fairness. Her strong work ethic, determination, wisdom, and love for others won the respect, love, and honor of all who knew her. Out of the overflow of her heart, Rebecca was willing to lend a helping hand to whomever maybe in need, and her legacy of generosity has blessed many non-profit organizations throughout the State of Texas. She was a member of the Board of Directors at Concordia University Texas and Camp Lone Star. Rebecca was gifted with a song in heart and was a faithful member at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Sinton where she would be found often behind the organ giving honor and praise to Jesus Christ, the one who has given her victory. She was dedicated to her family and her grandchildren were the love of her life. She was a woman of faith and a wonderful model for all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Howard and Betty Timblin Rivers, her husband Lawrence Kieschnick and her sister Jane Rivers Davis. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Rivers (Bob) Grady of Cypress, Texas, and her brother, William Edward (Karla) Rivers of Elgin Texas, as well as two children, Jo Timblin Bruno of Milford, Connecticut and Jill Williams (Ryan) Neuhaus of Tomball, Texas and their father Bill Williams of Waco, Texas; five grandchildren, Rose Bruno, Lucy Bruno, Jane Neuhaus, Adele Neuhaus, Vincent Neuhaus and many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Rebecca with your generosity by giving to Camp Lone Star.
