Richard James HoelscherLa Grange, TXRichard James Hoelscher, 83, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Richard was born in Violet, Texas on May 22, 1932, the son of Herbert and Regina (Beimer) Hoelscher. He married Ella Cecilia Lange on May 22, 1954. He worked as a refinery electrician for Sun Oil and Koch Industries and retired after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Ella; granddaughter, Christina Louise Hoelscher; five brothers: Walter, Jerome, William, Francis, Edgar, four sisters: Floy Lee Hoelscher; Dorothy Corcoran, Leona Hoelscher and Clementina MacAdam. He is survived by son, Larry Hoelscher and wife, Patricia, of El Campo, Texas; daughter, Denise Hilberling and husband, Michael, of Caldwell, Texas; son, Richard Anthony Hoelscher and wife, Sandra, of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Raymond Hoelscher and wife Judy of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters: Mary Louise Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida; Rose Lee Hoelscher of Violet, Texas; and Geraldine Fredette and husband, John, of New River, Arizona; eight grandchildren: Jason and Matthew Hoelscher; Samantha Evans and Robert Hilberling; Danny, James and Erin Rose Hoelscher; six great grandchildren: Madison, McKamey, Cordilia, Beck, Louise and John Wiley.Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 936 FM 2436 in Hostyn. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016. Burial will follow at Hostyn Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity (www.fayettecountyhabitat.org) or Hospice Brazos Valley, 1048 N.
