Robert Ray Cloud

Alice - Robert Ray Cloud, age 85, passed away in Corpus Christi on Monday, May 17, 2021. He was born on September 24, 1935 in Huntsville, AL to Roy Cloud and Ethel Cherry Cloud.

Ray proudly served in the United States Navy as a gunner's mate during the Korean War. He worked for Coastal Iron Works and then opened up C&W Refrigeration as owner/operator for over 20 years. He retired from Flowers Machine Shop but continued to volunteer as a transport driver for ailing veterans driving them to and from medical appointments

Ray enjoyed woodworking, making furniture, fishing, and camping. He loved being outdoors especially riding around on his trike. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Phyllis Cloud; son, Dickie Cloud; and brothers, Billy Cloud and Roy Cloud.

Survivors left to cherish his memories are his children, Linda (Kenny) Russell and David (Kandis) Cloud both of Sandia, TX; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Carolyn) Cloud of South Carolina; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Mason of San Antonio, TX.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Seaside Cemetery in Corpus Christi, TX officiated by Michael Mercer. Service will be livestreamed via Holmgreen Mortuary Facebook @ holmgreenmortuary.com

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E, Main St, Alice, Tx.
