Robert Custer Obituary

Robert L. Custer, age 87, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, July 7, 2007 at his residence after a short illness. He was born March 15, 1920 in Kingsville to Jake Custer and Bernie Sharp Custer. Mr. Custer was employed with the Missouri Pacific Railroad until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Custer is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Custer of Kingsville, Texas; son, R.L. (Dianne) Custer Jr. of Gamaliel, Arkansas; brother, Foy Custer of Kingsville; two grandchildren, Robert (Sheryl) Custer and Lamon Custer; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Public visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with family receiving friends that evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Ron Earley officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
