Gerald D. Custer

On January 19, 2026, Gerald, age 86, passed away at Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jerry was a resident of West Deptford for over thirty years. Gerald served in the US Army for 2 years receiving his honorable discharge in 1965. Jerry's hobbies included photography, skiing, golfing, and biking. He also enjoyed the Arts (theatre and attending performances by the Philly Pops). He loved traveling.

Gerald was predeceased by his parents, John and Gertrude Custer (nee Palmer). He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth "Betty" A. (nee Ludwig); his brother, John Custer and his three sons, John, Gregory and Steven Custer; his sister, Eileen DeStefano and her two daughters, Maria Palmer and Donna Glenning as well as many great nieces and great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday morning, January 24th from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the Healey Funeral Home, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ where his Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM. Interment following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA.
