Robert Samaniego Obituary

Robert P. Samaniego, 52, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2004 at his home. He was born August 25, 1952 in Corpus Christi to Robert R. and Minerva Perez Samaniego. He had been a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church since November, 1976 and was a candidate for the Deaconate of the Diocese of Corpus Christi. He had served on the Tuloso-Midway I.S.D. School Board for six years and had been president of the board for two years. He had been an Oil Belt Little League coach for years. He was a loving husband and father, and was devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by an infant, Angel E. Samaniego in March, 1995, and by his father. He is survived by his wife, Marina L. Samaniego; his sons, Adrian R. and Jacob A. Samaniego; his mother, Minerva P. Samaniego; his sisters, Rebecca Samaniego, Diana (James) Gonzalez and Sandra Samaniego; his brother, John E. (Zulema) Samaniego; nieces and nephews, James and Andrew Gonzalez, Gabriella and Angelica Samaniego. All are of Corpus Christi. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until 9:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm Monday in Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Tuesday, September 7, 2004 in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on Main Drive with Rev. John V. Karumanchi, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may make contributions to Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, give Mass Intentions, or send flowers if they wish.
