Ronald Gene "Ron" Howe, Sr., 74, passed away December 17, 2017. He was born August 26, 1943 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Thomas Wesley and Norma June McCaslin Howe.
Ron proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Fighter Pilot during Vietnam and was also a Fire Fighter Pilot. He graduated from OU with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked as an engineer until he retired.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockport.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Norma Dean Chadwick.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna C. Howe; son, Ronald Gene Howe, Jr.; brother, Tommy Howe; sister, Carole Cordell; step daughters, Rebecca Draeger, Rachel Draeger; four grandchildren, Daylyn, Alyssa, Riley, Malachi.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 1515 North Live Oak, Rockport, Texas 78382.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.

I remember Ronnie Howe. I was working with Bill Shown and others on the BS Ranch South of Pearsall. Ronnie was flying C130s and took a group of them over the Ranch at a low altitude. He was a great person and friend. I am Sorry for our loss.

I will always be glad that Karl and I had a chance to meet Ron that night when we got together for dinner in Corpus Christi. It was a great evening together. I will cherish the memory of his ready smile and laugh, and his great sense of humor. So glad that you had so many happy years together.
