Ruven Diaz Obituary

DIAZ Ruven 'Ruben' Diaz passed away September 5, 2010 in Taft, Texas. He was 53.Ruben was born February 25, 1957 to Nasario and Manuela Rodriguez Diaz in Cannstatt, Germany. He lived in Corpus Christi, Texas a few years, but lived most of his life in Taft, Texas. Ruben was formerly employed as a Chemist Assistant for Valero Refinery. Survivors include one son: Christopher Diaz of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters: Valarie (James) Ruff of Longview, Texas and Jayme Diaz of Corpus Christi, Texas; his mother Manuela R. Diaz of Taft, Texas; four brothers: Richard (Joan) Diaz of Portland, Texas, Nasario S. Diaz of Reno, NV, Reynaldo Diaz of San Antonio, Texas and Joel Diaz of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister Lydia (Jesus) Martinez of Austin, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Alyssah Ruff, Zaida Diaz, Arianna Ruff, Aaron Ruff and Noah Willars; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Nasario Diaz. Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 8, 2010, 10:00 AM, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM the same evening at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 9, 2010, 10:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft, Texas with Father Francisco Lopez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft, Texas. Pallbearers will be Christopher Diaz, Adan Aguirre, James Ruff, Matthew Willars, Paul Montemayor and Javier Narvaez. Services entrusted to Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton, Texas.
