Venancio Alvarado Alonso, age 83, passed away on January 29, 2018.
Venancio "Venny" Alvarado Alonso was born on May 18, 1934, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Venancio was a Master Carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Local Union 14. Venancio was a devout Catholic and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing. He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic.
Venancio is preceded in death by his wife Anita Munoz Alonso.
Venancio is survived by his sisters, Fermina Alonso, Susana Alonso Rocha both of San Luis Potosi, Mexico; his daughters, Rosa Maria Castro (Faustino Castro), Gloria Alonso, Christina Alonso-Cantu (David Cantu Jr.); his grandchildren; Rogelio, Venancio, AnaRosa, Eloisa, Consuelo, Faustino, Isabella, Sofia and his great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
