Victor Flagiello Obituary

Victor L. FlagielloHouston, TXDr. Victor Louis Flagiello, age 68, of Houston, a loving father, brother, uncle, mentor and friend to many, passed away on Monday, the 18th of February 2013, while surrounded by his devoted family. Victor was born on the 10th of June 1944, and was raised in Philadelphia, and attended Villanova University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He moved to Kingsville, to serve in the United States Navy and later practiced Family and Emergency Medicine in Corpus Christi and Houston. He was active in the Villanova Alumni Association, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association and volunteered in 'Doctors Without Borders.'Victor had a great thirst for life and enjoyed travel, gardening, fishing, art, music, cooking and most importantly spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.Victor was the son of the late Giovina Elena and Louis James Flagiello, Sr. He is survived by his cherished daughters, Nicole Flagiello (J.D. Pendley) and Gina Marie Flagiello; loving brother, Louis James Flagiello, Jr. (Sandra); dedicated sisters, Marianne Flagiello (Richard Rinderer) and Elena Flagiello; and beloved nieces, Andrea, Emily, Elaina and Karla. A memorial mass is to be offered at one o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 22nd of February, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Road in Houston. In lieu of customary remembrances, and in appreciation for the high quality of medical care he received, donations in Victor's name may be directed to The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, TX, 77210; or the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Development Office, MC 3-117, P.O. Box 20345, Houston, TX, 77225.
