William Carroll Obituary

William (Matt) Carroll passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2006 after being ill for over two years. He was born September 27, 1958 to Charles E. and Allie Rae Tidemand Carroll. He was a nicknamed Matt shortly after birth.Matt worked in the Oilfield Pipe Industry for 25 years. He was known for his promptness, hard work, and willingness to work long hours. Matt loved stock Car Racing, NASCAR and old vehicles. He has many friends involved in Corpus Christi racing. His mother, Allie Rae Tidemand Carroll, preceded him in death. He is survived by his father, Charles E. Carroll and stepmother, Judith Carroll of Mathis, Texas; his sons, Tracey Carroll of May, Texas, and Matthew McClendon of San Antonio, Texas; his brother, Bruce (Terry) Carroll of Homestead, Florida; his sisters, Cindy (Mark) Zimmerman of Corpus Christi, Texas and Diahn (Philip) Szafran of Mesa, Arizona and several nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Covenant Baptist Church, 7001 Williams Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas.In lieu flowers, friends are asked to make a donation to the American Heart Association, 500 North Shoreline, Suite 203N Corpus Christi, Texas 78471 or you local chapter.
