Michael Sullivan Obituary

Michael Bradley Sullivan, age 56, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. Mike had an immense love for enjoying life and loving his family and friends. He was always up for any adventure. He could be described as an athlete, a Marine, a brother in Christ, a protector, a loyal friend, a jokester, animal lover, project starter, musician, and in his own words, "a pretty handy guy to have around". Mike loved fishing, cooking, travelling, playing music, fixing things, and watching sports, especially his Denver Broncos. He never met a stranger and somehow, even if they disagreed, they would end up friends. Mike was very proud of his glory days of playing football for Canon City High School as well as his service in the United States Marine Corps. Once a Marine, always a Marine! He would want to be remembered for the lasting friendships he made and his spirituality rather than the cancer that dominated the last couple years of his life. He was so much more than this disease. He will be greatly missed by so many, but if you would like to honor his memory, please live like Mike...with no boundaries. He is preceded in death by his father, John Sullivan. He leaves behind his loving wife of almost 16 years, Jennifer; faithful companions, Jager and Ember; mother, Shirley Ragulsky (Tom); brothers, Jack Sullivan, and David Sullivan (Willa); sister, Shirley Sullivan; mother-in-law, Marjorie Sullivan (late Richard); father-in-law, Larry Moehlman (Gail); sisters-in-law, Christy Fogarty (Jason), Kelly Bene (Kevin); many nieces and nephews; his Sequoyah Elementary School family; and a host of loving friends. Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2022 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at 9:00 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Berry Funeral Home to proceed to East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier Highway) for a 10:00 inurnment. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of support and love throughout his life. In lieu of flowers and if you feel led, please donate to your local no-kill humane society or send a sapling tree to be planted in his honor. Mike left this world full of faith and ready. I only hope I will be so faithful in our God when my turn comes. Thank you Mike for your incredible bravery and faith. I am humbled. And I am proud that I can say that Mike was my brother.

What an awesome guy! He's with Jesus now and if we, too, are born again believers, we will get to see him again and spend eternity with him. Mike and I have a date to take a trip around the universe. May God comfort family and friends as only He can do.
