Ronnie Aaron Obituary

Ronnie (Ron) Glen Aaron was born to Paul and Frauline (Rushing) Aaron in Paint Rock, Texas, on Monday, June 01, 1942, and passed away at his home in Canon City, Colorado, on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the age of70 years, 2 months, and 14 days. Ron grew up in a family of 7 siblings; (3) ½ siblings, 2 sisters (Paula & Vicki), and one brother (Charlie) from his step-mom, Del Aaron; and 3 brothers (Jim, John, and Tommy) from Frauline (Rushing) Aaron. On Saturday, January 12, 1980, Ron was married to Bonnie Ellis at the First Methodist Church of Canon City, Colorado. To this union 2 children were born: Christopher and Nathan. Ron also has 2 daughters (Tina and Gina), and helped Bonnie raise her other son, Brian. Ron and Bonnie celebrated 32 years of marriage together. Ron was baptized at The First Assembly of God church in his early teens. He grew up in Duncanville, Texas. He enlisted with the Army and was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. Some of Ron's interests and hobbies included fishing, music, and playing his guitar, art/sketching, and two of his main loves, watching his Dallas Cowboys play football with his sons, and dry-cleaning. He grew up helping his dad at the dry cleaners, and owned his own dry cleaning business (Ron's One Hour Dry-Cleaning) for 16 years before retiring in 2004. Anything he was able to do to help his family, he loved to do. He loved his family very much. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Frauline (Rushing) Aaron; and brothers, Tommy and Charlie. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Ellis) Aaron; dad and stepmother, Paul and Del Aaron; siblings; Jim Aaron, John Aaron, Paula, and Vicki; children, Tina Aaron March and husband Jeff March, Gina (Aaron) Walker, Brian Ellis, Christopher Scott Aaron and his wife Lisa (Reeder) Aaron, and Nathan Aaron and his wife Wendy Aaron. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Stephanie, Steven, Sarah, Sharon, Shannon, Adrian, Isaac, Jessica, Nikolas, Travis, Gabriella, Tristan, Austin, and Kelsey; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Holt Chapel of the Garden in Canon City, with Pastor Larry Chell officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Vale Memorial Park in Canon City, CO. Arrangements handled through Holt Family Funeral Home. Online condolences @ www.holtfamilyfuneral homes.com
