Anna Lucille Paulus
age 96 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born to the late Wyle and Sarah (Haney) Hall in Woodsfield, Ohio on Oct. 4, 1915. She was a 1933 graduate of Woodsfield High School and worked as a clerk-typist for Probate Court of Monroe County and AAA Automobile Club. She was married to John L. Paulus in 1937 having had 59 years of marriage together. The family has been in Massillon since 1942.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John L. Paulus in 1997 and her son, Emerson A. Paulus in 1998. She is survived by three sons, F. Keith (Nancy) Paulus, James R. (Patricia) Paulus and John H. Paulus all of Massillon and her daughter, Ann L. (John) Stormer of Langhorne, Pa., a daughter-in-law, Lois J. Paulus; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Anna was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church since 1947, having served on various committees, two terms as president of the women's organization of the church and adult choir director in the 50's & 60's.
A service to celebrate the life of Anna L. Paulus will take place on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Coggins officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 12- 1 p.m. Anna's family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Donald Zimmerman, Crossroads Hospice, Affinity Medical Center, her church family at Epworth and to her caregivers Laurel Kulisek, Liz Smith and all others who assisted the family.
