Sandra Paulus Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. - Catasauqua on Mar. 3, 2026.
Sandra Jean (Covington) Paulus, 73, of Catasauqua, died peacefully at Riverton Nursing Home, Sunday March 1, 2026. She was the wife of Dale M. Paulus. Married in the Palm Schwenkfelder Church they celebrated 52 years of marriage together this past year. Born in Coatesville, she was a daughter of the late Jasper L. and Emma Jean (Moore) Covington.

Sandy was a 1970 graduate of Southern Lehigh High School and attended NCC in 2013, studying interior design. She always looked back fondly at her time working at Hess's Department Store, Allentown, and later owned her own home decorating business for over 30 years. When she wasn't on the road for work, she was involved in a variety of groups. Sandy helped tutor those learning English as a second language and volunteered with the Birthright Center of the Lehigh Valley. She was active with her children's activities, helping with the Catty high school (marching) "band parents", and served as a leader for both Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. Sandy loved to read, travel and spend time with her family.

Above all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by many.

Surviving along with her husband Dale, are her son Craig Stephen Paulus and wife Amy, daughters Caryn Lee White and husband Chad, Kellie Ann Sabitus and husband Christopher, grandchildren Jacob, Emmalee, Kaitlyn, and Aidan, sisters Michele Fallstich, Terry Shelly, and Beth Ann Miller and husband William, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brubakerfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sandy's name to your favorite charity. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is honored to handle the arrangements.
