Barry Luker Obituary
of Homeworth and formerly of Louisville passed away Jan. 7, 2014 following a long illness at the age of 82. He was born Oct. 25, 1931 in Canton, the son of the late Barry and Laura (Geckler) Luker. Wade was retired from Superior Brand Meats following 33 years as a truck driver. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a life member of the Louisville Eagles and a member of the Alliance Elks, VFW and Senior Center. Wade was a former member of the Atwood Yacht Club. In addition to his parents, Wade is preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Elsa; sister, June; brothers, Dale and Pat; and brother-in-law, Bill.
Wade is survived by his close companion and better half of 18 years, Sandra Luker; brothers, Glen (Pauline), Ray (Bonnie), Sam (June) and Paul (Linda); sister-in-law, Carol Clapper; brother-in-law, Ramon Fornasiero; numerous nieces, nephews and his pets, Teddybear, Riley, Stanley and Muffin who will miss him terribly.
In keeping with his wishes, no public services are planned. Wade was laid to rest beside his wife, Elsa following a private committal service in Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Wade's memory to his favorite charity, The Humane Society. Arrangements were at the direction of the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home of Louisville.

My condolences. Beloved Patriarch of the Luker family, your kindness and wisdom will not be forgotten. You showed us all the spirit of giving and often the life of the party. You took on responsibilities at an early age that none of us should ever have to bear. We should all be so fortunate to have a big brother like you. Rest in peace Uncle Wade, I know your are in a happy place with loved ones.
