Betty Psaris Obituary
age 86, of Canton, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center after a brief illness. She was born in Logan, Ohio on April 23, 1927 to the late Russell and Helen Karshner. After growing up in Logan, she moved to Canton and served as a librarian in the Canton City School System for twenty-six years. Betty was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a member of the Red Hat Society, and was an avid dog lover. Following her retirement she enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Psaris in 1963. Betty is survived by her children, Bridget Willits and Sam (Tracey) Psaris; grandchildren, Whitney and Brianna Willits, and Cody and Conner Psaris.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Aultman Compassionate Care Center. A private burial will take place in her hometown of Logan, Ohio.

Deepest sympathies to a family who offered me a loving second home all through my teenage years. Betty was a grandmother to all friends of her family that she cared for so deeply. Collectable figures of Frank Sinatra will always remind me of her. Brie, Whitney, and Bridget, I love you all, and you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Bridget, Tracey and Sam, I am so sad for your loss. Bridget, we sure have the memories, don't we? You and Betty were my constant 'helpers' when Bill was born and you took care of him as my trusted babysitters. We had wonderful times at both yours and my house. I can still hear Betty's laugh.
