Carl Nehlen Obituary

Carl L. Nehlen 1927-2016
Age 88, of Canton, passed away Thursday August 11, 2016 in Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 29, 1927 in Canton to the late Carl P. and Marge (Solomon) Nehlen. Carl was a WWII Navy veteran and a life resident of the Canton area. He retired from Canton Drop Forge after 15 years of service and was formerly employed by Portec for 15 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton.
In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his wife, Marie T. (Bianche) Nehlen in 2016; two sisters, Carol McPherson and Jane Killian. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Wendy Nehlen of Long Island, N.Y., Bruce and Carol Nehlen of Canton; four grandchildren, Ryan, Vincent, Tessa and Madeline; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Merryann Nehlen; two sisters, Carolyn Weisity and Dorothy Corbett.
