Carmel V. Arnold
92, of Massillon, died Oct. 14, 2016, after years of declining health. She was born to Joseph and Lucia (Bostarda) Chatterelli July 14, 1924, in Akron, Ohio.  She married Lloyd M. Arnold Sept. 30, 1941, in Wooster, Ohio.  He preceded her in death.  They lived in Orrville until 1991, and during that time she was employed by Westinghouse/Rosemont.  While living in Massillon, she was a volunteer at Doctor's Hospital and was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Dean and Gary Arnold; brother, Angelo (Josephine) Chatterelli; and sisters, Minnie (George) Codiano, Mildred (Mike) Dalessandro, Katie (Tony) Coccia, Agnes (Richard) Vizzo, and Edith (Buck) Cicconetti. She is survived by a daughter, Callie Jo Gessling of Florida; daughter-in-law, Judy Arnold of Massillon; brother, Matthew (Caroline) Chatterelli; five grandchildren, Robert Amstutz of Canton, Terri (Randy) Bushway of Florida, Angelo (Gowri) Arnold of Vermont, Richard (Marci) Derrickson of Millersburg, and Craig (Deanna) Gessling of Massillon; five great-grandchildren; three great-step-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Following her wishes, she has been buried at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.  Auble Funeral Home in Orrville handled the arrangements.  Online registry and expressions of condolence may be made at the funeral home web site at www.aublefuneralhome.com.
