Caroline Hann Obituary

Caroline M. (Kraft) Hann

age 88, of Louisville, OH, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was born to the late Harold and Ada Mae Kraft on May 1, 1933 in Massillon, Ohio. She was a 1951 graduate of Washington High School in Massillon. She met and married the love of her life, Frank C. Hann, in 1953. From then on, they were inseparable. They did everything together including raising four children. Caroline was compassionate and kind to everyone she met and loved having all her children and grandchildren to her home. She loved playing the piano and had the most beautiful alto voice singing in her church choir. At the age of 40, she returned to college and pursued her life-long dream of being an LPN. She carried her bible in the pocket of her nurse's uniform and shared Jesus with her patients where she worked and eventually retired from Timken Mercy Hospital. She loved the Cleveland Indians and her Massillon Tigers, but mostly loved the Lord. She is now singing with the angels in heaven. Caroline was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Gideons Int.

Caroline leaves behind her husband and best friend of 68 years, Frank; three children: David (Dee) Hann of Martinsville, VA, Linda (Jim) Silver of Wooster, Julie (Russ) Hoff of Valdosta, GA.; daughter-in-law, Carol Hann of North Canton; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Stephen; siblings: Mary Alice Rupard, Charlotte Brown and Harold Kraft, Jr.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville, with Pastor Mike Grant officiating. Calling hours will be 12-1 pm Friday at the funeral home. Caroline will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church in Louisville, OH.
