Ching-Yun Lou Obituary
Ching-Yun Lou, M.D., 59, of Clinton passed away, after a short illness, February 27, 2008. He was born in Tongshiao, Taiwan March 1, 1948 and moved to the United States in 1976. Dr. Lou was a Fellow of American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons, a member of Grace Bible Church and Taiwanese Friends Church. Preceded in death by father Jin-Yu; he is survived by wife Natasha Mekler; mother I-Mei; children Sara, Anna, Susana, Peter and Tabitha Lou and their mother Jenifer Catanach; step-children Edward and Eugene Mekler; 1 brother, 5 sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Taiwan. He was a great physician, respected by colleagues and loved by his patients. He was a humble server to God and his family. Always placed needs of others ahead of his own. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral service Sunday 5 p.m., March 2, 2008 at Grace Bible Church, 5781 Manchester Road, Akron 44319 (2-1/2 miles south of Rt. 619). Pastor Jerry Harpool officiating. Friends may call AT THE CHURCH from 3 p.m. until service time Sunday. Further fellowship will follow at the church.

I cannot tell you how Dr. Lou touched my life. When I was 27 I was sent to him for an illness, and he was so nice, and sweet. He made me feel like I was at home. He talked with me, laughed with me, and even let me cry. He was an understanding man. What will I do without such a great doctor? God Bless you Dr. Lou

one even after I moved to N. C.
If I was having a problem I knew he
would be able to help me. Which
he always did. He can never be

That was a wonderful obituary.
I was very sorry to hear that Dr. Lou had died. I considered him a friend as well as my doctor.
I remember talking with him some years ago about becoming a Christian. I was glad to learn that he had done it. I'm sure he was a good one.

My sympathies go out to Dr Lou's family and friends. My family doctor sent me to Dr. Lou when I had problems a few years ago. From our first meeting I loved that dear man. He was compassionate and caring and I could not have asked for a better doctor. We became friends after our first meeting and he continued to keep in touch with a Christmas card long after my issue cleared up. I will miss this wonderful man. I was a patient of Dr. Lou, he was the best doctor that I have had the privelge of experiencing and getting to know in my entire life. He was gentle and kind, and a very loving person. He is the only doctor that was there for me when I had an emergency. He was at the hospital within five minutes of my arrival and performed emergency surgery. He was one of great healers of medicine with the god given talent. He will be truely missed, and I feel as though I have lost a family member. My heart and prayers go out to Dr. Lou's family. This man, doctor, and friend can never be replaced. Dr. Lou always told me "an apple a day will help you with your problems." So please always eat an apple, and think of Doctor Lou it does work! He was the best! Like the nurses at the hospital told me "you got the best."

I was Dr. Lou patient and later went to work for Dr. Lou for 6 yr's. It never was like working along side a boss,it was like working with a good friend.
