Christopher Weatherman Obituary

Christopher B.
Weatherman
Christopher B. Weatherman, age 35, of Canton, passed away suddenly August 3, 2007. Born November 26, 1971, Chris graduated from McKinley High School and served in the U.S. Navy (Gulf War). Chris was currently attending Stark State University, studying to become a massotherapist. He was employed at Park Centre Lanes. Chris loved animals of all kinds and WWF Wrestling; Michigan Wolverine football, Kevin Harvick-Nascar and basketball especially the L.A. Lakers. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Mary E. Patterson; great aunt and uncle, Tudie and Jack Fisher. He is survived by his grandmother, Ethel Simpson- better known by Chris's name for her "Maw"; aunts, Sandy Nicholson and Becky Levy with whom he made his home; mother, Pamela Weatherman and cousins, Alice Leffler and John Cassidy. Also leaves many many friends from Park Centre Lanes. Although you felt you were in a tunnel of darkness and the light at the end would be a train light, it was actually the arms of angels taking you to Heaven. You were loved more than you knew and will be sadly missed by all. You are in a better place with no more pains or pressures and broken hearts. To celebrate Chris's life calling hours will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Cremation will follow. A private burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Chris, a year has gone by. I spent the day rather quiet and mostly alone. You, of all people, will understand this. I tried to find you at the cemetary. looked for nearly 40 minutes, just like you to not want to be found, but I will find you. In case you didnt hear me, I said "I shouldn't even be looking for you here anyway!" You would get such a kick out of Sean. He's nearly 2 now and he will never know your gentleness and your humor, like so many others. It is sadly ironic, everyone else could see the special in you....., but you! God, I miss you!

It's been a year now...and my heart is still aching. You were such a good friend to me. I still have moments when i think... Chris would laugh about this!! I know that you're still around, i've felt you near. Thank you for that. It helps ease the pain a little i guess. I just miss you Chris.

FOR THE FAMILY

Don't stand by my grave and weep;
For I'm not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousnad winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die.

CHRISTOPHER: I am so sorry you had to go through this. You and your family are in my prayers. You were/are such a great guy. I am so happy I had the chance to meet you and be friends with you.. I wish I would have taken you to Rainbow Babies with me for my chemo treatments. I wish you would have talked to me or someone, instead of what happened. I LOVE YOU CHRISTOPHER.

Chris, it seems like yesterday that we were working together behind the desk at Park Centre. Although so much time has gone by, I never forgot the loving family we all had at the bowling alley. When I heard that you had passed, my heart sank. I remember a time briefly when we dated and how quiet and shy you were: always such a gentleman. I remember your love for wrestling and being kind to everyone around you. I can still see us running after balls down the alley and all of the talks we had trying to discuss and understand life. I know you always felt it was so complicated. I am so sorry you could not find your way in this world. I know you are at peace now and all of your pain is gone. My heart will be forever broken. So many people loved you sweetheart and will miss you deeply. I will never forget my brief time with you and the memories of working together at the Centre! Love, Mis

Chris, If tears could build a stairway, And memories could build a lane, I would walk all the way to heaven and bring you home again. To remember you is easy. I do it everyday, But missing you is a heartache that will never go away. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone, For a part of us went with you the day GOD called you home. Our lives go on without you but nothing is the same, we have to hide our heartache when someone speaks your name. Sad are the hearts that love you silent, the tears that fall, living our lives without you is the hardest part of all. The special years will not return when we were all together, but with the love within our hearts YOU will be with us FOREVER. Chris we shared so much as friends, family and co-workers, good times, bad times, laughs and tears. I cannot begin to express how deeply saddened I am by this. I will miss your smile and your laugh you were a great person, and will always be my "EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR". Park Centre will never be the same for me. My heart is broken, and I will MISS YOU always. I hate losing BEST Friends Goodbye for now but we will meet again. Love BT

I can't even belive this could happen to such a great person! I only knew Chris from Park Centre, but we were always joking around and having a great time. He always made me happy. Just to see him, made me smile. I loved how when I walked into the bowling alley, Chris was always the first one to say hello to me. Chris was one of the nicest guys I know! I loved how when he walked down one of the lanes, everyone would hoot n holler! haha. We (the bowling league) always had great times with him. I have so many memories of Chris! The bowling alley will not be the same without Chris. He was always so helpful and a pleasure to be around. The "bowling for dollars" will never be the same again. Chris was the only one I would let draw my winning names. He was like a teddy bear to me. Always hugged me and made me feel happy. He was the first thing I looked for upon entering the bowling alley. He will be missed terribly. I loved him very much.

Just so very recently Chris came back into my life at Park Centre lanes. He was a friend of my son starting at Mcgregor elementary school, that friend ship lasted through their years at McKinley High School. In the last few weeks at the lanes I enjoyed Chris as a fellow bowler and friend. I was sorry to hear of his passing, my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Pam, I wish that I could find the words to make this all better for you, my dear friend. When I saw the pic of Chris in the Rep, he so reminds me of you. I just know that our loving, gentle God is holding him now in the palm of his hand, and there is no more pain or sorrow for him...I truly wish that I could have met him. From reading the other entries in this guestbook, Chris was loved by many. Pam, be proud that your son brought such joy into so many people's lives...May God rest your soul, Chris 0:o)
