Cynthia Moore Obituary
age 58 of Minerva, passed away Jan. 15, 2015 at the Altercare of Louisville following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 8, 1956 in Canton. She was retired from the Hoover Company. Cynthia was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Janice (Overholt). Cynthia is survived by her father, Jack Moore; stepmother, Sandra Moore; brother, Brandt Overholt; sisters, Mindy (Mike) Rafferty, Melissa (Dave) Willis and Jeannine (Eric) Robare; numerous nieces, nephews and special friend, Bill Francis.
A service Celebrating Cynthia's life will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Fox Avenue Church of Christ, 2848 Fox Avenue in Minerva with Minister Richard Mikes officiating. Cynthia's family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Condolences and special memories may be shared online at

It was an absolute joy to know Cindy, since she came to my Wellness Center 8 years ago. Her positive attitude and courage enabled her to beat her diagnosis and 'expiration date' kept her going MUCH longer than others could have. We shared a lot over the years; dreams, hopes on many areas of life and I will miss her warm smile and laugh greatly. She was an example to us all of how to go through dark places and stay thankful. I love you, Cindy!! Memories of you stay alive in my heart.

Cyndi was like a sister to me,She and I worked together at hoovers for around 7 yrs, and I was looking for her every since I moved back to Canton from Columbus,Ohio where i moved for employment purposes,And i had been looking in Canal Fulton because thats the last place i seen her and we exchanged a couple items until we seen each other agian, :-( Unfortunly we didnt get that opportunity ,:-( ,She had a heart of gold !!! Was a very good person ,Aunt to my children as well, Julia Hatfield, and Markus Mayle my son. She always had a smile that couldnt be beat! We laughed so much it would hurt ,It was just a instant connection the day we met , I love you Cynthia Moore,RIP sis <3 You will be greatly missed and loved :-( See you on the other side Sis.

We at Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve enjoyed the summer she spent with us working on the Rainbow Garden and the Butterfly House. She did such a wonderful job and I believe she was enjoying her time outside and being creative.
We are thankful for the time we had with her.

My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to Cindy's family. Cindy worked for me at Hoover for several years and was an excellent employee with a kind word and an inherent smile ALWAYS on her face... and, she was one of my closest friends during those Hoover years. I'll never forget her and the kindness she always showed me, and the good times we had for several years before Hoover closed. Though we lost touch after Hoover, she will be missed by me, and by all.
May God grant her eternal peace in His everlasting Kingdom. Rest in Peace, my friend Cindy.
