DAVID LAIRD Obituary
59, of Canton, went Home to be with the Lord, peacefully, with his loving children by his side on Saturday, February 9, 2019. He was born in Cambridge, OH on
November 29, 1959. David was an avid fisherman, hunter and pool player. His family however, was his real passion. He was a supportive role model and father to many very grateful children. David was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Jason (Ashley) Laird, Julia (Elton) Smith, Jeremy (Jessica) Laird and Erin Marie. He will be greeted at the Gates of Heaven with open arms, by his son, Justin Laird. He also leaves his wife, Lanette Laird; stepsons, Ryan and Roger; grandchildren: Jason II, Bryce, Zachary, Eric, Ava, Julion, Jordan, Nicholas and Benson; siblings: Gail, Barb and Don; and many nieces and nephews. His legacy will be carried with them the rest of their lives. He will always be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather. David's life, though cut short by a battle with cancer, touched so many. His presence will be missed everyday.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 12 p.m., at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. I met Dave through pool and I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot pool with him and other great friends in Vegas for "The big tournament". We may not have won but we had such great fun and made wonderful memories that I will remember always. I'll miss you Dave. Thanks for being my friend. Heaven gained a perfect angel.

Dave Will miss you, such a great person, and friend, we spent a lot of time growing up, playing baseball, basketball, and fishing. You were my best man at my wedding, and was so glad to see you when you came down to see us in August, we had a good time, we made each other smile and laugh, that's the way I will remember you. The Laird Family:
I knew Dave from the Polish Club golf league. He was a kind and caring person. However, I will always remember him for the way he battled cancer. He never complained and kept doing when he wanted during the fight. I hope and pray that I have the same courage if faced with a similar situation. Dave will be missed. My the Lord comfort all of you during this time of sorrow. My family and I will keep you in our prayers. Rest in peace my friend.
