I was so moved reading David's obituary. We were childhood friends, attended CHAP classes at Belle Stone and Lehman, we car pooled together to and from. We kids were sure David would be a nuclear physicist,we called him the "toy molecule!" The fact that he dedicated his life to Christ's work is wonderful, he had a gentle spirit even as a child. My sympathies to you, his family, who were truly blessed!

David Plaster left his mark on me professionally AND personally. With many great leaders and individuals it is many times one or the other. I suspect my story of Dave's mentoring is repeated hundreds of times.

Tomorrow will mark the 21st Anniversary of my families death and I remember still the words of encouragement and comfort that Pastor Dave gave as he conducted the funeral. He was a wonderful pastor and teacher that had a dramatic impact on my life through a number of difficult times. May God bless you as you journey through this time.

I will remember Dr. Plaster from the many chapel services I attended at Grace College. Though some complained about attending, I always looked forward to chapel and the knowledge that I gained from Dr. Plaster is priceless.
