David Reese Obituary

David D. Reese, Sr.

age 81, of Perry Township passed away Wednesday August 25, 2021. He was born February 3, 1940 in Canton, graduated in 1958 from Timken Vocational High School and served in the US Air Force. He then joined the Canton Police Department and retired as Captain on December 30, 1994 following 31 years of service. Dave was a member of The Fraternal Order of Police McKinley Lodge No. 2, The Fraternal Order of Eagles McKinley Aerie Lodge 2370 and he enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Reese; mother, Lois (Finney)(Reese) Renard; brother, Hal Reese; a nephew, Chad Reese. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Glenna D. (Norris) Reese; two sons, Scott Reese and Dave, Jr (Joyce) Reese; two daughters, Lori (Mark) Nolte and Dee Botschner; seven grandchildren Leah and Hannah Reese, Josh and Kaylee Nolte, Timothy and David Botschner, and Abby Clark; a nephew, Brent Reese.

A private graveside service will be held and he will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Those wishing can visit www.reedfuneralhome.com to view this obituary, sign the online guest book or share fond memories.
