David Sankey Obituary
David W. Sankey, age 49, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 6, 2006. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 27, 1957 and grew up in North Canton. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gabriela and his loving parents, Dorothy and Richard; two daughters, Maria and Leah; son, Jacob; step-son, Jon; sister, Suzanne Whitmeyer; brother, Jim and aunt, Marilyn Collins. A memorial service will be held Friday August 11, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 300- 9th St NW North Canton. Calling hours will be one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dave's memory to Pathway Caring For Children, 6370 Wise Ave. NE North Canton, OH 44720.

Dear Sankey Family,
I was sorry to hear of Dave's passing. My memories of our childhood friendship are fond ones. We shared many good summers together, and Dave was the master of ceremonies during our legendary "backyard" campouts. To Dick and Doe and the entire family,
I read the Repository on-line and was so shocked to see the passing of David. I am so very sorry that this has happened. My memories of Dave and any time I spent with him were so nice...what a warm and caring guy he was. He shared his experiences in Haiti and also when he worked in Charlotte and showed himself to be a good human being.
It's been many years since I last saw any of you, but I did want to extend my sympathies to a wonderfully nice family at this difficult time.
