David Thewes Obituary

David E. Thewes
74 of Kronenwetter, Wis. He was born Sept. 9, 1937 in Canton, son of the late Twila Reed and Gilbert Thewes. David graduated from Timken Vocational High School in 1955. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He was a true Christian with great faith.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Pat (Abrigg) Thewes; children, Cynthia (Bob) Sorenson of Columbus, Ohio, David (Cary) Thewes, Jr. of Wisconsin, Heather (Mark) Weiler of Missouri; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Gilbert (Linda) Thewes, Jr., Jack (Sandy) Lightbody; sisteres, Rita (Dick) Geissinger, Jan (Joe) Schott, all of North Canton and Becky (Sam) DeSantis of Indiana. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryce Thewes; and sisters, Paula Lightbody and Gail Hahn.
A memorial service was held Sept. 17 in Wausau, Wis.

Dave was a part of our US Air Force Basic Training Flight that joined from the Canton/Massillon area and was liked and respected by all.
May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.
