I first met Denise when she came to work as a programer at AEP. I always enjoyed her bubbly personality.
I last saw Denise when my wife Darlene was receiving chemo and Denise and her husband Gary were walking through the treatment area. She, like my wife, was a fighter - Denise for 15 years and my wife 14 years. Both of them were a inspiration to all who encountered them.

Gary, So sorry to hear of the passing of Denise. I saw you both at Dr. Smitzers office several years ago when my wife Darlene was getting chemo. I lost her in November 2012 so I can relate what you are going through. Two great women, one terrible disease. If you want some one to talk to who has walked that lonely road, just give me a call.

My thoughts and praryers are with Denise's family at this difficult time. I worked with Denise at FirstMerit as a fellow project manager. During the time I knew Denise (a couple of years) she was so positive and corageous as she fought this difficult battle ~ no matter what, she always had that smile on her face!

Gary and Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I had the privilege of working with Denise at FirstMerit, and we both worked at Diebold. Denise was a beautiful person and soul who will be sorely missed. She ALWAYS had a smile on her face and an upbeat attitude no matter what she was going through. I think most of all I will miss her smile, quick wit, and laughter. She always called me her friend, and she will always be mine. May you find comfort knowing she is in God's hands and was loved by all she met and whose lives she touched.
