Emma Stallman
Emma Stallman, age 77, of Canton and a resident of Laurels of Massillon Assisted Living Center since 2005, died Wednesday April 16, 2008 in her home after an extended illness. Born May 26, 1930 in Bellaire, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late George F. and Cora (Boston) Brown. She was a realtor for many years in Stark County. Emma and her husband enjoyed making wood and ceramic crafts and selling them at craft shows. She was a graduate of McKinley High School at Canton and was a member of the First Christian Church at North Industry. Her husband, William W. Stallman preceded her in death on October 5, 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Rick) Annen of Canton and Pamela (Dave) Geiseman of Vermontville, Michigan; three grandchildren, Denice Harris, Timothy Stay and Chatarra Stay; three great grandchildren and a brother, Dr. James (Patricia) Brown of Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary V. Gallagher. Graveside services will be held Monday April 21, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens at Canton. Following graveside services a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Main Lounge at Laurels of Massillon Assisted Living Center at 2000 Sherman Circle N.E. Massillon officiated by Rev. Mike Williams where friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek is handling the arrangements.
