Was just listening to meat loaf with my wife, reminiscing about how Freddy the frog introduced me to so much music (Phil keaggy/ glass harp the most memorable). Very sad to see he passed, but wow, he affected so many lives. I'll always celebrate his legacy.

So sorry to hear about "Frog".. I always took my records to GHS every week for Fred to play from his set-up in the library and open the door (GHS) so we could dance on the mall at lunch, and also for our sock hops. Rest in Peace, Fred.

ALWAYS thought of legendary Mr. Freddie & his strong full-of-music Soul whenever I heard/played Rascals "Beautiful Morning"- and what a kind and charitable character he had. He embodied all the joie de vivre of the music he spun & (Also smiled remembering Dr. Masid & Dr. Gus- by connection..). Deepest sympathies, ,Renee
& all Family.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Freddie the Frog. I worked with him for 13 years, and he would always accommodate me with my requests when I called him. I think he enjoyed playing Grand Funk Railroad's "I'm Your Captain" as much as I enjoyed hearing it.
Freddie was also a great friend and mentor to me as I started in the radio business. He helped me out, did favors for me and even DJ'd my first wedding. I haven't seen Freddie in a few years, but I will always look back on my time spent with him as time well spent.
What a fantastic man and wonder human being!

I am deeply saddened upon learning of Freddy's passing into eternal life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Unfortunately, I have only seen Freddy once in the last many years. It was at a family wedding and, of course, there were many people in our midst. He motioned for me to sit next to him for awhile and it was as if none of those years had intervened. He was so sweet and always so friendly......and we had such a fun conversation
I only wish I could have tuned into his radio shows...I understand he was such a great radio personality!
I send my deepest love and my prayers to dearest Charlotte and their beloved children and grandchildren and to the entire family, as well as their many friends. May Freddy rest in eternal peace.
