George Matthew Todoran
George Matthew Todoran, age 72, of Louisville, passed away at his home on February 6, 2008, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with an extended illness. He was born in Marlboro, OH on March 3, 1935 to the late George Andrew Todoran II and Mary Rose (Popa) Todoran Jones. He was a graduate of Louisville High School class of 1953. George resided in Louisville for the remaining years of his life, after moving from his beloved family farm in Marlboro during his teen years. George retired from the Timken Co. after 30 years of service. He also was employed by North Canton Drain & Sewer, Kegey Body & Frame and the former Campian Dairy. He was a member of the Corvette Club of America. George was a caring father, and friend who enjoyed cars and the outdoors. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his exceptional stepfather, Dillard C. Jones, a sister, Anita Todoran and a nephew Andrew K. Todoran. He is sorely missed and survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Michael Greathouse; son and daughter-in-law, Don and DeAndra Todoran; a brother Andrew J. Todoran, and mother of his children, Nancy Todoran, all of Louisville; long time companion, Kathleen Seroteck of Canton South; three grandchildren, Michael II and Nicholas Greathouse of Louisville and Amber Erwin of Columbus; two great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Stier Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Mr. Don Shook officiating. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Louisville.
