Gladys always had kind words for our family, and she never failed to ask about the boys. We were always amazed by her vitality, especially for working in the yard! We missed her when she moved away, and we miss her now.

Sympathy to all the family. Gladys showed me so much of the Akron/Canton area that I never would have known about if it weren't for her. Until we meet again my friend. God bless you.

Gladys has been my Special Sister for 50+ years. Her presence has been a gift, and her faith, encouragement, spirit, and optimism have made a difference in my life. She made me a better person.
I will cherish all the wonderful conversations we had through the years. Gladys, you know how much I will miss you, but I also know that you will continue to guide us and watch over us. You are a Special Angel. Scot, Cheryl, Jeff, and Lynn, my thoughts and prayers are with you and all your families. I will have a Mass offered in Gladys' honor in Louisville. God Bless You.

My sincerest condolences for a good friend. She always had a smile on her face and a wonderful sense of humor with the jokes she shared at AARP. I will miss her and know that she is no longer suffering.

We, at Christopher and Banks will miss Gladys so much. She was always a big part of our fashion events. She had such an energy and was so much fun to be around. She was so much more than a customer, she was our friend. It won't be the same without her.

My memories of Gladys trace back to those raucous family gatherings at the Wirtzberger household back in the 50s. As one of the cousins and a little kid at the time, I was witness to the boisterous din that filled that house on those occasions. Gladys was always in the thick of it, her laughter punctuating every aspect of the gathering, setting a pattern for all of the years to come. A life well-lived, indeed! So long, cuz.

Our Sympathy to everyone, we will miss her great smile and love every time she would pick up birthday cakes at our shop. Sincerely, Joe and Lucia Pileggi
