Isaac Wagner Obituary

Ike Wagner 1948-2015

Isaac Edward “Ike” Wagner died peacefully at 2:47 p.m. on July 29, 2015, at Akron City Hospital, during a short stay following an accident in the family apple orchard. He was born at said hospital 67 years earlier, on July 26, 1948. He would have found this coincidence amusing. His wife Kathy (Martin), daughter Holly (Brent) Kenreich, and little grandson were at his side.
He grew up on Vine Street in Akron, graduated from Central High School and later from the University of Akron. He served four years in the United States Air Force. Ike enjoyed people, and lent a helping hand with abundance and without complaint. He owned an impressive assortment of tools, and possessed troubleshooting skills that rivaled the likes of MacGyver. He loved his family very much, and adored his new grandson. Ike would like you to crack open a cold Diet Coke in his honor.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Arnold Funeral Home, 504 W. Maple St., Hartville. A memorial service will be held promptly at 4.
