James Huston Obituary
63, of New Philadelphia, was called to his home in Heaven on Friday. A devoted servant of God, he was a member of the East Ohio United Methodist Conference who served as the pastor in many congregations throughout his career.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; son, Jim (Carolyn) Huston; daughter, Nikki (Dan) Smallwood; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Edward (Patricia) Huston; and sister, Cheryl (Darryl) Napier.
Services will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, in the First United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday AND Tuesday in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.

I so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I'm glad I made it to the UMC of Midvale to hear Jim preach which might have been one of his last sermons. Rev. Jim (T-Bear) will be missed by many.

Jim was one of the finest of our class of '68 @ Claymont. God bless his family, & may his kind spirit & sense of humor live on eternally. RIP "Teddy Bear". <3

For every life has a purpose to fill, a purpose which us humans can seldom infer. But Jim was a gift from heaven, whose purpose was to make this world understand what love, friendship, goodness, and humbleness was all about. Goodness belongs to heaven, and I know he is watching you from there, bestowing his wonderful smile upon all of you. Let us remember Jim in our prayers, in our fond memories, in our everyday actions, so that remembrance brings joy, not tears. May his soul rest in peace.
