James Pitz Obituary
James A. Pitz, age 76, of Massillon, died Sunday. He was born in Massillon, son of the late P. Arden and Hazel A. (Creter) Pitz and was a lifelong resident. Jim retired in 1994 as a self employed carpenter and was a member of Carpenter's Local # 69. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, and was a true outdoors sportsman. Jim was also a member of Massillon V.F.W. Post 3124. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine L. Pitz, May 19, 2007; and a brother, Richard Pitz. Survivors include his sister, Mrs. Rita Kent of Massillon; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Deborah Sady of Massachusetts; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services are Thursday 1:00 p.m. at Atkinson - Feucht - Shaidnagle Funeral Home in Massillon. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Contributions are suggested to Stark County Humane Society, 5100 Peach St., Louisville, OH 44641.

i am very sad to learn about the passing of James Pitz.....i knew him and his wife Gerry and the entire Sady family for many years...they were family to me...i wish him eternal peace and know his spirit will live on ..
