Sonya, and Pam, Mr. Harris was such a good man I'll never forget him and all the lessons he thought me about working for a living. He kept money in my pocket for the things I did by working for him. You always had a good and happy feeling when he was present. What a good man.

I met Jasper when I became a Canton City School employee. We were co-workers at the start and then he became my boss. He was a good and fair boss. He also worked on one of my cars back in the 80's and he told me that it was a challenge, but he was rose to the occasion and was true to his word and fixed it. He told me that the particular repair on that car would be his first and last attempt at those kinds of repairs. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.

First I met Charlie Tarver. Then Jasper. They taught me a valuable lesson ...do not ever judge a man by his current position in life but by his soul and faith. Through out my high school years I had my daily five minute session with Jasper.
His love of people, teaching them how to reach goals even with roadblocks you can still reach your mark not for yourself but for others!

Charlie and now Jasper are gone but their soul will always be a part of me!

Heartfelt, sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Jasper C. Harris. He was friendly, down-to-earth, kind, refined, intelligent, and an entrepreneur. In addition to his aforementioned qualities, Jasper was an awesome supporter of his church. His impact was positive and effectively contributed to the legacy of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Canton, Ohio. He made us shine!!! Jasper has earned his place in the heavenly realm of God among the Saints. The Lord God strengthen and keep family, friends, and former associates, in perfect peace as we celebrate a life well lived.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family as you celebrate Jasper's life. I met him at his auto shop. Later we both ended up working for Canton City Schools. He always greeted me with a warm friendly smile weather he was in his shop, pushing a broom in a school hallway, or sitting behind a desk, wearing a suit. He was never full of himself. An excellent role model. He will be missed.
