JEFF WALTON Obituary
Jeff Andrew Walton, 49,
and a lifelong resident of
Canton, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2019. He was a husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He was a man of few words, most of the time. His passions were cutting trees and fishing. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Canton. He was an employee of Kovatch Castings in Uniontown for 22 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joy; daughter, Ellen; son, Ben; father, Ed; mother, Judy; brother, Scott (Christine), brother, Mark (Angie); nieces and nephews: Megan Skelton (Corey), Rachel Walton, Renee' Walton, Tony Walton and Kendall Schaefer. He was loved by his entire family and will be missed!
Calling hours will be between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the First Church of the Nazarene located at 522 30th Street N.W., Canton. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. A private burial service will be held at a later time. Instead of donations of flowers the family asks that you donate to Stark County Mental Health, 121 Cleveland Ave. S.W., Canton, Ohio 44702. Please put Suicide Prevention Coalition/Jeff Walton on the Memo line.

Jeff did tree work for us for more than a decade. At first, his prices were so reasonable that we had to convince him to charge us more! He was always reliable, friendly, and did great work. Over the years, he often expressed great love for his family. Jeff became more a friend than a hired helper. Often he would show me tips on how to sharpen my own chainsaw, and give me pointers on how to cut firewood. My wife and I attended his calling hours; the beautiful pictures of a smiling Jeff will be what we remember of him. Rest in peace.

I did not know your husband/father well, but I worked with your mom at AWW. I cannot express my sympathies for what you must be going through. I know this is a very difficult time but you must trust that the Lord takes ALL things into consideration & holds Jeff in His hands. Please turn to the Lord for comfort & care in your grievances. He is always there to hold you also. My sincerest condolences

My mother and I went to the service for Jeff. It was a beautiful service for a special person. We lived next door to Jeff when he was growing up and were always around the family our entire life. Jeff is going to be missed by so many. I would stop & talk to him because my dog, Sampson, wouldn't ever just pass by if Jeff was out. He loved Jeff. That's the kind of person he was. He would stop what he was doing to pet my dog and talk for a few minutes even when he was in the middle of doing something. Our condolences to Joy, Ellen, Ben and the rest of the family. A note to Ben and Ellen...your father was a really good person who loved you very much.

Legacy of a Saint
Jeff Walton was placed whole and radiant in the waiting arms of his King,by angels who witnessed his journey on earth,and heard the new song he would sing.
