John St. George Obituary

John St. George Jr.
John St. George Jr., age 90, loving husband, father and grandfather, died Sunday in the McKinley Health Care Center. He was a life resident of Canton and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 32 years of service. John was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Canton, the Hungarian American Club of Akron, and the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Survived by his wife, Helen T. St. George; three daughters and a son-in-law, Julianne Schneider, Marianne Soptelean, and Rebecca and Judson Zernechel all of Canton; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Esther (Varga) St. George; two infant children; and two sisters, Margaret Zink and Betty Mitchell. Services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Calvary Cemetery with Fr. Joseph M. Gleixner, M.S.C. officiating. There will be no calling hours. The Lamiell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church. Condolences may be sent to:
