Joseph Bernabei Obituary
Canton, Ohio to Marlene and Anthony
Bernabei, passed away Thursday,
November 9, 2017, after a long, hardfought
battle with lung cancer. He was
in his home with his loving family,
close friends, and two faithful dogs. He
attended Perry High School in Perry
Township and graduated from Stark
State Technical College. Joe was the
I.T. Director at Terry's Tire Town for
over 15 years. He was previously employed
over 10 years at the Duncan
Hill Group. He was an avid camper and outdoorsman who loved the
mountains, spending time with his family, close friends, and two dogs.
He especially loved camping in the Allegheny and Smokey Mountains
and geocaching. He also loved his music and was a drummer in a band
in his younger years. He is preceded in death by his father, Tony Bernabei,
from Canton, Ohio; and his Uncle Joe Bernabei; and cousin,
James Bernabei from Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is survived by his mother, Marlene Bernabei of Canton; and his
devoted wife, Michelle (Winkler) Bernabei; and three children:
Devon, Zachary, and Hailee Bernabei; and his beloved dogs and constant
companions Beaker and Pluto. He is also survived by his Aunt
Joanne Sares; and cousins: Missy, Georgianne, Marissa, Katrina, Sabrina
Bernabei, and John of Las Vegas, Nevada; cousins Holly, Linda,
and Levi of Florida, and Doug from Arizona.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 14 at 12:00 p.m.
at Karlo-Libby Funeral
Home with Rev.
Gary Smith officiating.
Friends and family
may call one hour
prior from 11 a.m. to
12 p.m. Burial will
take place at Sunset
Hills Burial Park.

So Rare in life you meet someone that you are so in tune with and share so much in common, this was my Pal Joey the only person with the inexplicable ability to make me laugh when I felt the lowest for a while my friend we shook the very foundation of Heaven, and now you ascend may God bless and keep you close. You will be missed by everyone you touched in your life. My sincerest condolences go out to Shelly and your three wonderful children, you are in my prayers.

Joe my friend, you are so sorely missed. I think of you often and how bright and cheerful you always seemed to be. I am truly honored to be named one of your best friends even though it was like anyone who knew you was a best friend. Just shows how great a guy you were. Joe, no one could ask for a better best friend.
We were honored to be the witnesses to your 2009 wedding to Shelly. We had so much fun in Gatlinburg. We hope you will always remember our trip to Cade's Cove. (Tuck and roll baby, tuck and roll.)
We are sorry that there won't be any more adventures for the four of us.
A good friend knows all your stories, a best friend helped you write them.

Joe was a wonderful person. He and his family were patients of ours at the dental office where I work. He was upbeat and very positive ever time he came into the office. My prayers go to Marlene, and his wife and their children. He will be in our family prayers.

I worked side by side with Joe several years at Terry's. I was impressed with his desire to learn new things and valued his efforts and contributions both professionally and personally.
