Kathleen Barton Obituary

Kathleen Pitts Barton 1927-2016
Her mind and body are at peace. Kathleen passed, away April 8, 2016, gently into the arms of a loving God in Heaven and loved ones who awaited her. Alzheimer's Disease has lost its cruel hold. This southern lady is rejoicing again with her beloved husband, Max; her brother, Rev. James Pitts; and her mom and dad.
Kathleen was the oldest of three from Knoxville, Tenn. She was born on Jan. 14, 1927. In the last few years, she always dreamed of her mountains back home. Now she sees them from a glorious view on high.
She is survived by her son, Max Barton, and his wife, Nancy of Uniontown, Ohio; her sister, Shirley Reardon of Knoxville; and nieces and nephews, Beth Ann Pitts Riggins, Jimmy Pitts, and Steve Reardon.
Thank you, Mercy Medical Center Hospice for a comfortable final journey to a life well lived. We know as she passed she was washed in light and love.
A remembrance celebration for friends will be held Thursday, April 14, from 5-7 p.m. at the home of Max and Nancy Barton, 10583 Casern Ave. NW, in Uniontown. Private burial in Louisville, Ky. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Medical Hospice and the Canton Museum of Art.
