KATHLEEN WELLS Obituary
Age 86, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021. She was born June 11, 1935 in Canton, the daughter of the late Michael and Carrie (Erbland) Hootman. Kathy graduated from McKinley High School in 1953 and retired from Fishers Foods in 1995 after 37 years of service. She was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed her Cleveland Browns, her Cleveland Indians and all Ohio sports teams.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Leo in 2001; granddaughter, Erin; step-daughter, Elizabeth. She is survived by daughter, Carolyn (Rick) Lindenberger; son, Jon (Noelle) Melnichenko; step-daughter, Kathy (Robert Perry) Brelish; step-sons, Scott (Sue Ann) Wells, Michael (Deanna) Wells; grandchildren: Susan, James, Benjamin, Jonelle, Jon, Kyle, Casey, Stacey, Pamela, Penny, Rebecca and Leah; numerous great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Joan of Arc Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:50 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Those wishing to share a memory, offer their condolences or those unable to attend may sign the online guestbook at: www.dwilliamsfh.com
