Freda, Jimmy, TRS, and Kimberly Kay, I really don't have the words to express our sadness for the loss of Kenny. We were so fortunate to grow up with the dads (and families) that we had. Their legacy will live on with us and through us and for that...we are better people. We love ya!

Speakman's Barber Shop was one of the most important places in Minerva, what with all the friends, customers, and other assorted VIP's who would gather there every morning. In addition to getting a damn fine haircut -- at a ridiculously low price, I might add -- I'd always walk out of there knowing something I didn't know when I went in. The whole town will miss Kenny Speakman. R.I.P.

Dear Freda,Tim,Jim & Kim and all of Kenny's loveones and friends, I was sorry to hear of Kenny's passing, we had many good yrs working together in the barber shop when I was working for Kenny in the early 70's for 10 yrs.He taught me many things about how to treat the customers to getting my Master's Barber's Liscence,we shared many a laugh, and many good times together while I was working with him and after, I hated to hear he had been stricken with Lung Cancer & I would hear how he was doing by different people but I'm sorry I never came to visit him while he was so ill, losing my dad to lung cancer made me not want to see others ill with that sickness and I always felt like I would be opossing if I came to visit Kenny while he was ill,I just wish he knew how much he meant to me but deep down I beleive he knew how much a mentor he was for me and I will cherish our yrs together working at Speakmans Barber Shop. Your all in my prayers and my thoughts and I'm sure Kenny is up in Heaven with Jerry Mills having a Ball in their cancer free bodies.Sincerely all my love in Christ
